BOWZER'S ROCK AND ROLL CHRISTMAS SHOW
Saturday, December 10 at 8pm, Tickets: $65*includes VIP Meet and Greet, $45/$39

The stunning disparity between mild-mannered Jon Bauman and his creation and alter ego, the inimitable "Bowzer", has raised a lot of eyebrows in the entertainment industry. That's because Jon's portrayal of "Bowzer", leader of "Sha Na Na" for fourteen years, was so convincing that the casual observer was certain this hilarious, gangly greaser actually stalked the streets of Brooklyn when he wasn't appearing with the group. Later, when Jon Bauman washed the grease right out of "Bowzer"'s hair, he surfaced as one of the most multi-dimensional performers in show business today, with careers as host, producer, writer, performer, actor, musician and social activist!

Peggy March – Peggy March isn't necessarily a household name to Americans, but everybody knows her #1 pop hit from 1963, the American teen classic, "I Will Follow Him." The American pop singer, born on March 8, 1948, Lansdale, Pennsylvania, was discovered at age thirteen singing at her cousin's wedding and was introduced to the record producers Hugo & Luigi. They gave her the nickname Little Peggy March because she was only 4' 9"tall, the record she did with them was "Little Me," and her birthday was in March.

Peggy March's single "I Will Follow Him" soared to number one on the U.S. charts. March became the youngest female artist with a number one hit, a record that still stands for the Billboard Hot 100. The recording also took the number one spot in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, and Scandinavia.

It was the late 50's and the words were heard on the airwaves and fans sung along " Hushabye, hushabye – oh my darling don't you cry, Guardian angel from above – take care of the one I love".

Today 2 Original members – Phil Cracolici (Original Lead Singer) & his nephew George Galfo (Original 2nd Tenor) look back with pride and a new day has begun in keeping those harmonies coming. Joining Phil and George are Joe Neary (former member of Reunion, Bits N Pieces, and toured with Dion and first tenor on his last two CD's),Ralph Roberts ( former member of Music Box) and Howard Sprotzer (former member of the DooWop Kings).

The Sound of "The MYSTICS" still harbor the soft breezes of harmony perfection and the audience's embrace and applause continue to shine a glow and as "The MYSTICS" continue in their quest of keeping the sounds of harmony doo-wop alive in our hearts.

AN EVENING WITH ROBERTA FLACK
Friday, January 27 at 8pm, Tickets: $59/49

Internationally hailed as one of the greatest songstresses of our time, GRAMMY® Award winning Roberta Flack remains unparalleled in her ability to tell a story through her music. Her songs bring insight into our lives, loves, culture and politics, while effortlessly traversing a broad musical landscape from pop to soul to folk to jazz.

"Love is a rush, a wild wind, the scent of a summer rose/A whistle blowing on a distant track, and when it goes, it goes," she sings, in that familiar soft, strong voice which has channeled the earth-shattering thunder of first attraction (the Grammy-winning First Time Ever I Saw Your Face) and the equally humbling strike of the end of it (Where Is The Love with Donny Hathaway). That voice can be sensuous (Tonight, I Celebrate My Love with Peabo Bryson, The Closer I Get To You with Hathaway) or unbearably sad (Killing Me Softly With His Song). And all the voices of that rare instrument will be on display when Flack graces the Sunrise Stage.

Flack says after 60+ years performing, she still enjoys every minute. "It's what I do, what I am all about, the opportunity to put all that together into one moment, in one hour, and serve it up to fans and people who love music in general."

TRAVIS TRITT – A VERY SPECIAL SOLO ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE
Saturday, January 28 at 8pm, Tickets: $49/39

Country music artist Travis Tritt will appear for a very special all acoustic performance at the Sunrise Theatre, Saturday, January 28th at 8 PM.

That album achieved platinum status, as did his first release, "Country Club" from which his first No. 1 hit "Help Me Hold On" was achieved. Other memorable releases include "Here's a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)," "It's a Great Day to Be Alive," "Tell Me I Was Dreaming" and a cover version of the Eagles' "Take it Easy."

Tritt received two Grammy® Awards in his music career, both for Best Country Vocal Collaboration: in 1992 for "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'," a duet with Marty Stuart, and again in 1998 for "Same Old Train," a collaboration of more than ten country music artists. He has received three awards from the Country Music Association including Vocal Event of the Year twice (1993 and 1992) and the coveted Horizon Award in 1991. He was accepted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1992 when he was only 29 years old.

His most recent album, titled "The Storm" was co-produced by "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson and released in August 2007. Jackson qualified it as "blue-eyed soul" with tunes like Tritt's "Rub Off on Me" and a cover of Richard Marx's "You Never Take Me Dancing." Other cuts exhibit a bluesful, Southern-rock vibe like the notably intense Nickelback cover "Should've Listened" and a Hank Williams Jr. cover "The Pressure Is On."

THE TEMPTATIONS

The current Temptations lineup consists of original member Otis Williams, Terry Weeks, G.C. Cameron, Ron Tyson and Joe Herndon. "The Temps have always been known for great lead singer's", says Original Member, Otis Williams. "Today we have three of the greatest leads in the proud history of the group." "Our challenge," says Williams, "is to live in the present while respecting the past. We understand that for a group with our history, no matter how glorious that history might be, reinvention is the name of the game."

By the time Anka was 18, he had five Top-20 hits and had secured himself a distinguished musical niche of romance. Come celebrate 50 years of Doo Wop with Kenny Vance and The Planotones, and very special "Secret" guests. Kenny Vance and The Planotones open up their 'basement' rehearsal studio for an intimate evening of song and stories spanning Vance's illustrious 50-year career and the music that has been its unique soundtrack including "Looking For An Echo", "Cara Mia", "She Cried", "Only In America" and more. It is a story only Kenny Vance and The Planotones can tell with a historical perspective framed by a multi-faceted career that began on the Brooklyn street corners and rose through Jay and The Americans, The Brill Building, Vance's stint as musical director on Saturday Night Live, and numerous film-driven classics such as Eddie and The Cruisers, Hairspray and the movie in which The Planotones were born, American Hot Wax.

Kenny Vance and The Planotones are among today's great vocal pop musicians. The group, Kenny Vance, Johnny Gale, Kurt "Frenchy" Yahjian, Jimmy Bense, keyboardist Chip Degaard, and Tony Gallino on Drums, redefine oldies with vocal authority and freshness. As exemplified by their signature song "Looking For
An Echo", their material is influenced by the music of the 50's and 60's, but they consistently bring a unique and musically sophisticated point of view. In this sense they are classicists, opening the eyes of a new generation to a rich historical musical style. With their cool and sultry musical approach, they give a gift to those who are discovering them for the first time! In 2002, Kenny Vance was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame. In 2007, he was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall Of Fame in conjunction with the release of "Countdown To Love ". And with them are very special "secret" guests... celebrating their own 50th Anniversary, who had a number one hit, "You Belong To Me"... can you guess who they are? Don't miss this special night as we celebrate 50 years of the best music in music history.
